On my Nexus tablet, I cleared cache, deleted app and reinstalled. Since then, I have not experienced the music stopping (nearly one week).
CHECK POWER SAVING FUNCTION (May need to be turned off during spotify use). I don't know if I have completely solved the problem, but having gone from being able to listen to 1 or 2 songs before it stops playing --> 30 minutes of continuous music so far, I believe the issue may have been caused by my phones 'Power Saving' function. I wonder if there was conflict between the apps ability to continue streaming (even if it was saved music) and the functionality of the power saving mode. Maybe it would discontinue all app functions once phone fell asleep?

Hope this helps.
This issue had been solved but, came back. I can't remember exactly, I think past 3 updates must have been the versions that re-introduced occasional pauses (or stops). I can easily resume pauses with the push of a button on my headset/steering wheel. Then again I ask myself "do I have to?"...
Hi lolllpop,
It's an HTC One M8. I suspect this is a performance issue because I've been using it more than 2 years. Pausing is nothing new as I wrote earlier. It re-appeared a few weeks ago with an update.
Thanks lolllpop 🙂 All we can do is to make developers aware of this problem. Hope they're listening.
With version 6.9.0.1212 arm v7, issue seems to be fixed. At least for the time being 🙂
Hi Perit,
I have the family deal and one of my family member have been experiencing this problem. We've downloaded the latest update, uninstall then reinstall, and I even resent him an invitation (still the problem persist). I don't know what to do now :(. I am paying $14.99 monthly, but music isn't working for at least 3 of those whom I signed up.
Thank you so much! Switching from battery saving mode fixed it for me on my Samsung Galaxy Note.
