The max volume of Spotify on Android is very quiet.

The max volume of Spotify on Android is very quiet.

As I said above, the max volume of Spotify is about half of my PowerAmp volume. I have turned off all volume settings in Poweramp and I still hear my music better. It's there any way to increase the max volume of Spotify? I can barely hear my music while walking on the street.

Installed 2.6.0. .. no difference. .. is everyone on lollipop? This started for me when I put lollipop on my note 3

Good to see now this Thread.
Have the same problem with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 on my Nexus 5 Device. This Problem only happens on Spotify. Every other Music Player works fine 😕

 Have you both disabled nuplayer?

I have disabled now nuplayer and I'll give tomorrow a feedback if it fixed for now until you'll get a real fix.

I'm having the same issue with my Nexus 6. Spotify's music is really quiet but local files played in Spotify are normal. In fact, the volume difference is so great I can't put local files in the same playlists with Spotify's music without scaring myself stupid everytime a super-loud local track plays.

My Nexus 6 is running 5.1.1 and NuPlayer is disabled.

Nothing showing up yet but I'll keep my eyes open. Appreciate the quick response!

1, Uninstall your quiet Spotify version

2, and Install 2.8

No worries, if you wanted to cheat you may find a clue in my signature 😉

Edit:- Just to note; the versions you can find of the app in my signature are downloaded by myself from the Google Play Store. I can't comment on other links to apks you can find around the forums.

Also have the same problem.
I have a Note 4. When you play a track, for a split second its high in volume then adjusts itself back down.

Why does Spotify limit the volume like this?

Is there anything I can do to adjust it? I've tried a number of volume increasing apps, they don't work.

Thanks guys!

I still have this problem with a version I just downloaded, totally unusable this way.

This happens on my Note 4

My note 4 too. Very anoying

I have the same problem in my phone ...
The max volume is so low ...
This way doesn't work for me ...
But i'm waiting for solution ...

This issue looks like it's been going on for years, according to the dates of some posts, and still without a resolution. How can Spotify hope to keep customers if their software is flawed and unusable and they are doing nothing about it?

I have the new Nexus P6 phone with the latest version of Spotify and when I plug headphones in, while I'm on a plane for example, I can barely hear the music. I think I'm going to cancel my subscription when I get back from holiday and try one of their competitors instead.

The thing is, when I select a song, the first half second is at a higher volume and then it drops down to a level barely audible over traffic with the windows closed. So at first it seems to use the phones capacity for volume and then something happens to the output.

Is it the same if you turn off the equalizer @thatsaintguy?

Also have this exact issue on my s5, if anyone have a solution for this pls help 😣
