I cannot play any of my own playlists. As soon as I choose one I am returned to my home screen.
Playing a playlist i subscribe to works great, also streaming works (even streaming the exact same album I made a playlist of...)
Have tried uninstall and deleted all spotify related files through file manager.
On Galaxy Nexus 4.0.4.
Ideas?

Stock Droid RAZR.
I've been a spotify user for about a year now, I use spotify details, not facebook integration.
I had this set up on my external SD I used the original App, then the preview, then the new release.
Everything looked OK yesterday, then last night I was playing some stuff from playlists on my phone and it would just stop.
Then today it showed incorrect playlists, so I uninstalled, deleted the data and cache on my phone and re-installed.
It just said loading... for all my playlists, going into folders would show the same thing loading....
I restarted my phone
now it won't show ANY of my playlists, not even a loading....
Top playlists under what's new all show as Loading.....
I've logged out and logged back in, nothing seems to fix this.
I pay for this service, and have for almost a year, this is unacceptable.
All my playlists show up on the desktop app still.
i have Sony ericsson Xeria Play and latest update made spotify unaible to work..i dont feel like this should be a problem at the long term but if it would do then i would like to get some money back because im unable to use a service that im paying for!
Hi,
I have a similar problem, and also have an 'unusal character' in my username (a question mark). Since updating to the new version of the app (0.5.0) - all my playlists are empty.
The problem occurs on both my Galaxy S II and my Galaxy Tab when I use the new version. If I revert to the old version everything works fine - so it seems that the new app is at fault.
I have tried wiping all spotify data / folders etc and reinstalling but nothing helps.
I pay for the premuim service so really need this sorted! Any ideas?
Hi,
I have same issue, on my Galaxy S3. also tested on Asus Prime tablet. same issue on both, none of my own playlist even stared will open, it kicked me back to home screen.
and i do have special chars in my spotify username.
I'm getting the same problem the app just closes when I select a playlist.
I also have unusual characters in my user name. [.][.]
Are the developpers even reading this forum ?
Not even a single message from them.
As myself an Android applications developper, I can see the issue is quite easy to fix...
But maybe we are to few to experience the problem or they don't even care.
I'm really considering to stop my Premium subscription...
(But, again, we're only few drops in the ocean...)

I do not have any unusual characters in my username but still having MAJOR problem since last update.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Spotify like two or three times but the problem remains, the only of my 20 lists i get acces to on my Galaxy S2 is the starred list.
Yes, it would be nice if someone could at least tell us what's going on and maybe why they have released the update when it was known from the preview versions that people are having these problems.
Well all of my playlists have showed back up and are no longer "loading...."
But the original problem of it stopping mid-playlist still persists.
It'll play the first track, start the next song and then stop a little bit into it.
All the new updates and additions are nice but basic functionality seems to be problematic now

It didn't for me, the previous preview worked fine...
We have new features with new bugs introduced 😞
Actually this thread was started during the preview version, I just updated it soon after the release of the current version.
Oh, then I only speak for myself.
No issues with the preview version.

Apologies - didn't notice that. Definitely weren't this many people with this issue during the preview though. Although I guess then simply downgrading back to the Play version was an easy option
Hey everyone, sorry for not commenting on this sooner.
Can we get some confirmation that you're still having this issue? And please let us know whether or not you're using 'unusual' characters in your username in each case. With enough reports we can get the guys to look into this and hopefully get a fix out.
Yes, the issue is still there and yes my nick has special charts "|"
