I sent question already more than week ago to Spotify support. No response. I sent new one now in email and decided to add also here to forum.
There is something wrong with Spotify after creating facebook account. I did not join it with Spotify. After creating facebook account problems started. Issue active now more than one month.
My starred offline tracks keep on disappearing and strange playlists appear, this has been issue now more than month. I cleaned playlists today, but left one if support wants to see. I think my account is somehow able to control some other devices playlists. New playlists name is "F**K YOU B***H STOP DELETING MY S**T". I havent created that.
In show available devices I really see devices that are not mine. TMMMMMMMMM, tMMMMM and Tims iPad are visible at the moment. I think they are able delete my playlists and me theirs. You really have some big problems in Spotify, I can delete someone elses music and they can delete mine!!!!! Or what am I doing wrong?
I removed spotify from device and removed all offline devices from webpage (there was one ipad in there and I dont have any), and after this reinstalled Spotify. No help. Using spotify in Win7 computers and Android phones, old ones tough, 3.2 and 2.3.3.

This really is a bug, not hacked account, could Spotify take this problem seriously?
If changing your password then logging out all devices doesn't work, I recommend you get in touch with Spotify.
I chatted with spotify support and they fixed my problem
Hi!
I started this discussion in 2011 when I had this problem and it helped when I removed all devices and changed password.
Now I can see that when Im not using my spotify there is someone listening some latin **bleep** 🙂 with my account, but not touching my playlists etc as earlier. Device is called ZYZYHLE and its not one of mine.
I try to report this to support of Spotify too but I never have recieved any support from there even Im paying customer.
This is total **bleep** from this company. I update if any additional help comes from spotify.
And where I can nowadays find any connection?? There is links to different nonsense topics and links to community? This **bleep** company is not supporting customers anymore?
Contact information is on the About page.
Not true at all. I have a completely new and randomly generated facebook password with OTP protection. All devices logged out and facebook login is the only way. Yet I am device juggling with a Brazilian right now. It is not user problem AT ALL. This is veyr clearly bad coding on spotify's part.
i’m having the same problem and i’ve changed password and logged out of all other devices and it still isn’t working??
I have been busy with this problem for a while now. Sometimes when I logged in, I saw other devices using my account, casting songs to different phones or devices. No matter how much I searched why it would be, I couldn't find out why. Now I basically found my specific problem and I want to share it with you in case you are going through the same thing.
Short Explanation : Spotify had a big database leak including user information and passwords. Hackers/exploiters logged in to my account and updated my plan to "premium for family" and then invited random people to use my plan. That's why new devices popped up suddenly.
Long explanation : Even if your account is created with Facebook login, spotify has a passwrod attached to your account for using at devices. If you never activated this password, it still is there at spotify servers as a random password. A few weeks ago, there was a big leak of user information from spotify which included these passwords. No matter if you login with facebook or not, it is leaked as the password exists. This way exploiters are able to log in from their devices and chane your plan or use your account as they want.
Solution : For those of you that are using Facebook login, changing your facebook password will not work. What you have to do is in order :
1) Login to spotify web, go to account settings page and click "Set device password" 2) Follow instructions and set a new password (Yes, even if you use FB login)
3) After PW is set, fo to Account Overview and click "Sign out from everywhere"
4) After this check your plan, if somehow it is upgraded to "Family" downgrade it
5) If you are at Family plan, click "Premium for family" and check invited devices. Remove the ones that don't belong to you.
If you don't check the 4th and 5th steps, you mgith still continue to get strangers. Make sure you look at the plan.
After this you will not have the random devices popping up problem anymore
I had German HipHop playing on my device yesterday.
I had this before and then changed all my passwords and removed all devices.
But apparently now it's back.
Spotify feels like a very insecure platform now.
Just adding my name to the list of people that this is happening to. A problem that's been happening for what, 5 years now? Come on, Spotify!
So my situation is probably a bit of the opposite to most the replied above: I can play my songs on other people's devices without signing in my account on their devices. Those random speakers and PS4 just show up on my "spotify connect" and I'm being a **bleep** but I enjoy playing songs on their devices. Still I would like Spotify to fix this.
