Why is Spotify playing on and storing info on the wrong device?

Why is Spotify playing on and storing info on the wrong device?

When I ask Spotify to play on my Google Home, it plays on my husband's phone and stores the song and info in his account. When he does the same, it stores on my account, however, it will play on the Google speaker, but shows controls on my phone.

Hey there, 

 

Thanks for reaching out about this and welcome to the Community. 

 

In this case, we suggest that you and your husband log out from your accounts on your devices by following the steps below: 

 

  • Log in to your account page and scroll all the way to the bottom.
  • Select SIGN OUT EVERYWHERE.

Also, make sure to remove the access of the speaker on your account page under Apps. 

 

Then, you can log back in to your accounts on your devices and link them to the speaker by following the steps here.
