Why the pause?

My Question or Issue

The app will pause after a notification sound and remain paused until I manually press play.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it worked for a bit, then moments later started pausing until I pressed play again.

We understand you've already reinstalled the app. However, we'd like to suggest performing a clean reinstall if you haven't already. This one is more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble. 
 

If this doesn't do the trick, would you mind letting us know the make, model, the exact OS version and the exact Spotify version of the device in which this is happening? Also, let us know if this happens with every notification from all apps or a specific one.
