Hey, everytime i try to log in on my samsung phone, in the spotify app, it wont let me log in. It logs in for like 3 seconds and it will not stay for long and keeps sending me to a page that says "new to spotify? start here! and if youre already an member log in here". Ive tried to log in twice but it wont let me. it's really annoying and i cant listen to it now. Ive tried to delete cache data and uninstall and reinstall but that doesnt work either. what can i do?? if it helps i use facebook credentials. so i have no spotify credentials and i am a premium user!
For what it's worth uninstalling and reinstalling seemed to fix this problem for me.
I've also just started having this issue too. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstsalling it but it still doesn't work.... Mine is doing the same thing as everyone else's. I try to log-in with my Facebook profile but it will only log me in for just a couple seconds and then redirect me to the same login page.... But I saw that someone had said just to click on the option saying they're new and whatnot and that seemed to work and now I have my playlists and everything back. Kinda of a dumb set-up of how I had to do this but I'm just glad I have my music back again.

You could try retriving your Spotify username (which will be a series of numbers if you have a Facebook account) and setting a device password and then using those to sign into your account rather than using Facebook. Instructions (for Sonos, but its the same process) are here.

I am having the same problem as well. I have tried logging in with facebook and with the Spotify username. After 3 seconds the Connect to Facebook menu pops up and when I try to log in it says "Temporary Error when merging accounts. Please try again"

Edit: I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and cleared the cache a couple times already, not fixing the problem

Can you try disconnecting and reconnecting your account from Facebook using the desktop application (Edit > Preferences > Social Network)?

well when i try to log in and click "log in with facebook" it doesnt open and its really annoying beacuse i have evean tried to make a new account but any where i go it is mucking up i.e fb and things please help!!!!!!!
Hello, I have a really puzzle here.
I have signed up recently and after that I tried to login via desktop app. I used my username and password... Access denied, wrong username or password...
So I tried "Forgot password?" and here it comes very interesting. It opened edit user page with changing password column, but I for security I have to fill in my current password.:-D
Any ideas? Thank you for any recommendations.:)
@dorotka06 If your account was linked to facebook when you set it up, you should be logging in with your facebook credentials and not a spotify username.
To get a password reset:
1. Go to https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/
2. If you get redirected to your online profile (where you need to current password to make the change), you are still logged into the website. Click on your name at the top and choose Log Out.
3. Return to https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/ and you should be able to request a reset.

When I go to login, it tells me I already have a account with this email address, and it won't let me login, anyone else having this problem?
Same problem for me. I just got a new ipad, downloaded app and gives me the message that my email has already been used when I try to log in. I tried to re-set my password, but no luck. Frustrating. I have no problems logging in to my Pandora app from my ipad... there is no human to call at Spotify. 😕
