browsing results not shown and search failing

When going into browse no lists are shown. Also when searching the app just closes out and takes me out of spotify and to my general apps

Can you post what device, operating system, and Spotify version you’re using?

Hi Joe
Sounds as good a reason to be in here as anything and if the beer/music were flowing smoothly I'd be a happy man.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S5 using Android version 5.0 and Spotify version 1.6.0.952. The whole thing is very frustrating as cannot browse for new music and right now can't search for any either without coming out of Spotify.
Any advise is much appreciated.

I can imagine your frustration. Could you try reinstalling spotify, following the instructions here. Let me know if it works, thanks.

Worked perfectly. Would not have thought that I would have needed to uninstall but then again I'm a technological Luddite. Thanks for the advice.
