 I don't get notifications. At all not by mail or the status bar..

Hey can you confirm in your phone settings it is allowing Spotify to push notifications? If using android just hold down on the app and select the i and it will launch you to settings. Try turning off and on notifications.

Spotify dropped push notifications ages ago relying instead on email and the New Music and Discover Weekly playlists instead. Turn on "email notifications" if you want to receive these.
