why when i open album and podcast always crashing after the update?

Do you mind trying a clean reinstall of the app on your Android device, making sure to clear all Spotify app data? Just follow the steps in this support article. Hopefully that should do the trick 🙂

Same happens with me, even after a clean install.

I can open these pages only if i dont have internet connection, but of course in thi case no content is shown.

• using a different network connection
• logging into a different account on the same device?

If none of the above works, could you provide us with the following info:

• exact Spotify version
• device + OS version
• a detailed description of the issue you're experiencing?

I've tried the following things:

• doing a clean install (uninstall + delete all app related files)
• using a different network connection, including different WiFi networks and mobil data
• logging into a different account on the same device

But non of these helped.

Here are the infos you've requested:

• exact Spotify version: 8.5.20.857 (latest today)
• device + OS version: Android 5.1.1 with MIUI 7.2.7 (Redmi 3)
• a detailed description of the issue you're experiencing?:
  • when I tap on the Podcasts tab or Albums tab under My collection the application is closing

  • when I tap on the home page of specific Podcasts to try and follow or access additional episodes, Spotify continually crashes
