no local songs via chromecast audio?

When I play songs from the (windows 10) desktop player or my android devices (Sony Z5, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2) to my chromecast audio, it works without problems, BUT all my own/local songs, already downloaded on all devices, where ignored and skipped!?

Since days I'm in conversation with the Spotify support but I only get replies nothing to do with my problem.

I use newest app versions on all devices.

I can't find any restrictions regarding this at the Spotify help site. Except the hint that local files are not possible with Spotify connect.

All connect hardware devices, including chromecast, stream music direct from spotify's servers and not from your mobile or PC. This has many advantages over something like airplay which streams from your mobile device over wifi.

Because connect devices stream from spotify's servers, they can not play local files.

Thanks for reply. Yes, you are right. Ok, now I understand why it 's possible with Google Play Music, because I uploaded my private music to Google server, so I can stream via chromecast audio. But with Spotify I have my own songs only downloaded at my mobile devices.

Still strange that the Spotify support does not know this.
