"Direct Play Only for Premium" - But I already have it?

Hello! 

I have a premium account. It used to be possible to direct play a song or artist via Google Assistant and Android Auto, when connected to my Mazda. Now, Google replies with "Direct play is only availible to premium subscribers of Spotify." Not being able to use my voice to control Spotify anymore really sucks. If I can't get it fixed, that'll be the end of me and paying for Spotify. 

I have premium. So what gives? I've attemped uninstalling and reinstalling both Spotify and Android Auto.
