"Storage" Option no longer available after update

Option to Store to internal memory or SD card is now completely gone rendering me unable to listen to music without Wifi, which is almost all the time. This happens after EVERY update and I don't understand it. So frustrating.

Android 6.0.1

Spotify 8.4.43.632 armv7

Have done the whole song and dance with log out, clear data, clear cache, uninstall, restart phone, reinstall, enable storage permissions, login, still no storage option....SD card still formatted as portable storage and nothing changed day over day besides spotify updating itself.
