can't delete data

every time i attempt to clear my data it only logs me out and does not clear my saved music, i just want to start over

Saved music, playlists and listening history are stored on Spotify's servers so clearing the cache/data on your device won't remove them. You'll have to remove them manually I'm afraid. If you have access to the desktop client, it's pretty quick as you can select everything in each view then delete all in one operation.

If you don't have access to the desktop client, it may be easier to simply create a new account?
