My Question or Issue
I had left a Spotify jam that my friend invited me to. I connected to my cars blue tooth and it wouldn't let me play any tracks. It kept giving me the message that I had to wait for the Host to start play back. There was no way for me to leave the jam either because the bottom part where the song usually shows was gone.
Closed Spotify and opened it again, the error message was still there. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, the error message was still there. Which was kind of wild.
I was able to fix it by asking my friend to start playing on his Spotify. Then it turns out that my Spotify was still in his jam session?
I guess it didn't disconnect correctly, and I was not given a way to disconnect fully.
Hey folks,
Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
@Citrillia, @jvalteren, we'd suggest you make sure both your devices and the Spotify app there are up-to-date. We'd recommend you make sure you perform a complete clean reinstall of the app on the affected devices. By doing that the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this behavior. Make sure to follow the steps in this article to do it.
If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info to investigate further into this behavior. Please send us:

I have the same issue. Haven't tried uninstalling, but that should not be necessary regardless.
Update: My friend stopping te Jam solved the problem.

None of these fixes are working for me and it’s been a day I have uninstalled and singed out is there any way to fix this
Well done Spotify.
Implementing a lock-in group feature with no option to leave the jam for the other users if the hosts leaves or with their phone goes flat. Etc.
Truly impressive QA and Testing teams.
Did you hire the employees from CrowdStrike, or did they take a lesson from you in how "not" to test failure scenarios of their software.
Fix: restart phone and when you open spotify upon reboot the "jam" track will be visible, then you can click it and "leave" group.
