so why does the wear app need data connection when phone app is in offline mode :/

eh 😕  doesnt make sense - the phone app works fine in offline mode ... but the wear app will only work if the phone app is online with mobile data turned on 😕

...what is it doing i wonder? 😕

...surely the wear app just needs to connect to the phone 😕
