[Desktop] Select All Songs

The main reason I chose Spotify over Napster/Rhapsody some years ago was so that I could select all of a specific artist's songs, copy to a new playlist, sort A-Z, delete or ignore duplicates; then start playing it, and when done jot down where I left off.  That way I'm not listening to the big hit songs over and over while never hearing others.  Could you please either create a "select all songs" menu option on the artist page or at least enable me to - as I could before the upgrade- select the first song on a discography, press shift, scroll down and select the last, then copy to a playlist.  Thanks!
