[Developer] [Feature Request] Resume playlist from last song played

Hello Spotify Team, 

I just love the Spotify app and have high frequency of switching playlists on a regular basis throughout the day. So Spotify has this history playlist that stores the playlist I played but it does not remember the song which was last played. So suppose I am on the 50th song of a 100-song playlist, I need to remember which song was last played last to select the next song 51st in this case to hit play otherwise I will just replay the song which I have heard.  
I think you can maybe add a field that saves the last song entry which can be resumed to play. 
Is there any workaround?

This feature has always existed, maybe it is disabled on your side or it is a bug.
