So I want to completely stopped listening to a song but I cant get it off the bottom of the app. I would rather not have it there cuz I currently just want to look at songs and make a playlist without having to worry that music is suddenly going to start playing. I can't swipeit because it either opens it fully or goes to the next song and I just want a simple way to completely close it.

If you close the app and reopen it, it will probably solve the issue. You can also clear the queue - let me know if you need help with that!

Hey I've closed the app and opened it again and it still has the song there

Right - what about the queue? Did you clear it?

How do I do that?

- First, open your Spotify and go to the current playback screen.

- Click on the song that’s playing and click on the three-line icon in the lower right corner.

- Mark all the songs you want to remove.

- After selecting all songs, click on “Remove” in the bottom left corner.

If it doesn't help, you could reinstall your Spotify app - that should do it!

I realize this is an old thread. I’m hoping someone will see it though. I continue to have this problem & have tried all the listed suggestions. Why can’t I remove the Now Playing banner at the bottom of my screen on my iPhone? It’s annoying! Thanks for any help in advance!
