Why Spotify Discontinued BarCodes?

Just curious, does anyone know why Spotify chose to discontinue the use of the barcodes?

Maybe it's easier to scan barcodes than something else.

Sorry, I meant why did they DISCONTINUE (so it appears). I can no longer create barcodes

I can still see those barcodes when I go to the share screen on any album/song/playlist.

I did notice it may take a couple of tries to make the barcode visible.

What device are you using and is your app up to date? 🙂

The last time I had Spotify (PC) installed, I used to be able to quickly create a bar code. However, as far as I know, the feature has not been brought back.
