I am doing a lot of looking about this subject that cannot access Spotify Wrapped if you are a desktop user. Also it would seem that there is contradictory information on the Spotify help pages.
Yes I have seen all the disclaimers saying that certain users may not be able to access it blah blah blah.
If there is a solution that I have not seen then fine i'll hold my hands up and apologise but I have been working all day to day to try and see it and keep getting told that you have to log into the mobile app.
My circumstances are very unique. I cannot use my mobile devices at the moment because my dexterity levels are severely depleted as I remain an Inpatient In the hospital using a Windows surface kindly loaned to me by a charity. I am not for one minute suggesting that Spotify should legislate for my unique circumstances in their business decisions, however, it seems to me not beyond the wit of man to be able to give the desktop app the same basic functionality as the mobile versions. Even a website with the statistics on and nothing else would be inching towards equality for the desktop users.
I guess my ask is this. Why should people who subscribe to a service paying out money each month be denied the access to a feature that everyone else has, even those who aren't on the premium plan, whilst I sit and read their social media posts about their spotify wrapped and can't join in! Seriously I know that hospital patients don't come up often in the Spotify management meeting but for goodness sake you've got to see from my point of view that this is extremely Discriminatory and does no good seeing other users to Spotify share their 2024 but I don't get to do that despite listening to Spotify all year.
Yes I know I'm responsible for my own mental well being but this is just another example of how other people are living their lives and I'm just existing. Yes I know it seemed like a completely stupid thing to try and equivocate this one issue to the outside world but from where I see it the outside world is as far away to me now as I could possibly imagine it to be.
For an organisation with net worth measured in the billions I cannot believe that the one thing I look forward to is a music fan each year it's denied to me because I just so happened to be using a different device due to my own crappy luck. That is completely nuts.
As I said at the beginning I will apologise if I've missed something but I've gone through all the help pages more than once and I still cannot access this.
