Well, it is interesting to note that by calling my subject "Account Hacked!" - about 10 different subjects all came up with the same concept.  Ugh.

 

My Premium Account has been hacked.  I have left 4 "messages" on the support web form with only one automated response for one of them.   I did this 2 days ago.  No idea how long it takes someone at Spotify to respond to a paying customer - but I'm thinking 2 days is an excessive amount of time to wait.

 

My Premium Account was hacked.  The person changed the email address for my account - which is probably why no one has gotten to me  - although my message stated this and gave my email address to correspond with me.  They also changed my billing to annual - which would have been a surprise indeed next month.  Finally, and almost more frustratingly, they changed all of the playlists that I had spent hours putting together. (sigh)

 

So - my question was - and remains - can someone at Spotify please reset the password *and* email for my account.  Without the password, I cannot change my email account - although I can oddly login using Facebook.  Now my FB account is probably hacked.  And can they restore my playlists....

 

Or can someone just respond to me and let me know what's going on?

Hi Stuart - I'm sorry to hear you've had this issue with your account.

 

As with other payments issues, this definitely needs to be handled via e-mail. I have escalated your case to the appropriate team. You should receive a response from them shortly.

You can create new account after that, howewer you can't transfer your subscription over accounts. And to create new account, you need Facebook.

 

If your old account was created when no Facebook needed, I suggest to restore it - you can then change your password to new one - just keep it hard like 9%k^aB!_?a. No need to use my example password! Create your own then. Also no need to remember it, Spotify keep those passwords in memory. But of course, you should keep this hard password somewhere printed etc.

 

If you still want to remove your account and create new one, I can ask moderator to help you. To be able to transfer playlist over accounts you need to provide some details and to do this you will need to contact to Spotify via Contact form http://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/

 

Post your reference number here and then I post this to mod.

I just want to have this account completely removed. I dont need my current playlists, the only important thing is this account to be finished. I will create a new account later on myself. What info do you need about me or my account to be able to remove it?

Spotify need some details, however you can't share those here in public forum.

 

Contact here http://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/ and Spotify will be able to ask details and then remove account completely.

The problem is that this hacker has changed the emailadress of My spotify account and that means any answers or questions i might get from spotify regarding this matter will be sent to HIS email and not mine? 

No, they see changes in your account.

 

However I ask mod to help you.

Users that believe their account has been comprised should get in touch via the contact form.

 

If you think your email has been changed simply select "Would you like to contact us before creating a Spotify account?". You can then write to us from the appropriate email--not via your Spotify account.

Empem - I can see you've been in touch with Customer Support, has it all been sorted?

Let me know if it hasn't. I've also just deleted that email address from your post, it's not advisable to post personal details on a public forum.
