Not receiving songs in my inbox/notifications from user not using Facebook

Hi, I've seen similar posts but no fix to what I'm searching for.

I recently told a friend about Spotify and they signed up, but they don't have a Facebook account. I have been sending them songs for a couple weeks and they receive them. But when they tried to send one to me today for the first time, I still haven't received anything.

I have tried logging in an out a bunch of times and haven't found anything to work. Please help!

Everyone 😕 i can't share anything with anyone, i used to always just right click and share a song through facebook (as priv msg) but it doesn't work anymore to anyone i try

Does it appear in the person's Spotify inbox though? 

I don't think the system was ever really meant to send to Facebook inboxes, it was a bug as far as I was aware. Since the new "Messages" tab replaced inbox, I haven't seen any Spotify inbox messages going directly to my Facebook inbox.

oh really?? it was like that for so long that I thought it was standard. well there ya have it, maybe i've just been mixed up in the way it works all along (especially since the actual introduction of spotify messages)

I will check with my friends and see if they're getting messages in spotify, they probably have this whole time!!!
