Spotify still using Facebook...?

I love Spotify, but I want to keep that to myself. So I unlinked Facebook, but now after a few months I get a notification in Spotify saying one of my Facebook friends is now also using Spotify?

 

Why is Spotify still connecting to my FB account? Also, how do you delete friends? It seems that it once imported friends from my Facebook, but I just want to delete them alltogether.

woutervu - Looks like you have two accounts, one created through Facebook and the other one with your Unlimited created with Spotify.

To stop this happening again, I've just deleted the account created through Facebook.

If you don't want friends to appear on the right hand side, just right click on their name and 'Unfollow'.

woutervu - Looks like you have two accounts, one created through Facebook and the other one with your Unlimited created with Spotify.

To stop this happening again, I've just deleted the account created through Facebook.

If you don't want friends to appear on the right hand side, just right click on their name and 'Unfollow'.

I would like to unlink my facebook account from my spotify account? Can you please help me with this? I sent in a contact form to spotify help last week and have yet to hear back! thanks!

As you created your account through Facebook, we can't disconnect the two accounts, I'm afraid. If you could reply to the auto-response you received after emailed in, Customer Support will be able to help you further.

I emailed hours ago and have yet to hear back. If I am unable to unlink my facebook account, then I would like to deactivate my facebook account. Please let me know how to do this. Thank you!

Hi sbella221 - Did you receive an automated reply directing you to the FAQ?

 

If so, please reply directly to that email. Your case will then reach our CS team. The goal is to respond within 24 hours so please sit tight.

I did not receive an auto reply directing me to the FAQ. I am not sure why spotify is being difficult with deactivation/facebook unlinking. Please provide me with instructions with what I need to do.

You've opened a case so you would've received something from us. How about your SPAM filter?

Hi, I would also like to have my Facebook account deleted so I can sign up again with the same email adress but without Facebook. Thank you.

There is nothing in my SPAM folder. Also, I just filled out the contact form again. I sent one in on 2/7 and never heard back. Why is spotify making this so difficult?

yxz10 - As we've told the other users, you'll need to fill out the contact form. From there our CS team can lend a hand. 

 

sbella221 - I can assure you we don't want things to be difficult. However, if the correct emails aren't going to out to customers then I'd like to get to the bottom of it. 

 

I can see you filled out our contact form about 10 minutes ago. At the very least you would have received an email with a confirmation and case number. f you haven't received anything from Spotify (on your s***.******@gmail.com email) do let us know.

 

 

I still have not heard from spotify regarding deactivating my account or unlinking my facebook account from my spotify account. I have sent in the contact form twice and still no answer from you guys. I am very disappointed with your customer service. This information should be posted on your website! I shouldn't have to keep chasing you for it!

Hi sbella221 - As I've said previously you should have received a confirmation email at the very least. 

 

This email would have suggested you check out our FAQ or Community. You need to reply directly to that email. Until you do that, your case will not be reopened. 

 

If you have no emails from Spotify in your Inbox or Spam you need to let me know. This would suggest an error with our contact form which I would need to investigate.
