Syncing Playlists Between Computers

Syncing Playlists Between Computers

I currently use the desktop version of Spotify between two computers. I make most of my playlists at my work computer (a PC), and listen at home on my Mac. But a lot of the music I've been adding to my playlists has not been showing up on my home version.

Is there something I may have selected on accident, or some sort of glitch that may be causing this? I want to know that if I purchase a subscription, all of the music that I add to my playlists will be there, and I'd also like for it to be synced seemlessly between all of my devices.

Thanks,
Greg

I am always being told to install a new version of spotify, and for what???

This has still not been fixed, version and version after version.

I can follow all my friends activity and playlists but cannot follow my own.

I created a playlist on a different computer about an hour ago. I am now on my main workstation. Where is that playlist? I can't see it. I create a new one to create some activity. Does it sync? No. I add a track to the new one. Does it sync now? No.

I should not have to do anything stupid like log out and in again. It should be able to keep up with my activity in your lovely cloud.

Are you definitely logged into the same account on both computers @EarlPurple ?

Easiest way to check is to go to Help > Your Account in both clients and check if the reported usernames on your account page are exactly the same.

Yes I am definitely logged in to the same account on both machines.

I may have come up with a solution: find any conversation I am part of, then click on my own name and see if my playlist comes up. However that is a workaround I shouldn't have to do, the playlists should either synchronise almost immediately, or I should have some kind of "refresh" option.

It's quick enough to notice if I play something on one computer having played something on another. So if it can respond that quickly to that, why can't it respond quickly when I create a new playlist?

It definitely should do, testing this on my devices my playlists (new and making changes) are reflected immediately in all of my apps. - Not sure what is going on in your case!
