help me please

Hi i have sent several contact forms no replys back at all...there should be a better way to contact you people. For weeks i have tried to add a new credit card so i can pay for my subscription and it keeps denying the card i have used this type of card before it is a visa card and it has worked in the past please help me so i can continue to listen to my music thanks courtney

Hey Courtney,

Thanks for getting in touch. Have you tried setting up your card with a PayPal account at all? That might get you up and running with a payment.

yes still having issues

im getting really aggravated this problem has been going on for several weeks i need to be able to pay so i can listen to my music please help resolve this issue asap

I recommend contacting your bank to make sure that's all confirmed (especially being enabled for e-commerce transactions and open for foreign purchases).

hi meredith im pretty sure the card meets all the requirements i have used this type before its a vanilla visa prepaid giftcard how do i get it to go through it has twenty dollars i want to pay for my subscription and it shouldnt be this complicated

how long till someone can be nice and help me ????

No need to double post. I'm not from customer service, so I do not know what's going on with those purchases. All I can do is asking someone from Spotify's Customer service to help you with this request.

 

Please keep your patience.

 

However, try in the meantime this:

 

There are some main requirements that your card must fulfil in order to use it to subscribe to Spotify Premium or Spotify Unlimited.

  1. Ensure that your card has not expired. If you have received a new card, update your credit card details on your Subscription page
  2. The country set in your Spotify account profile must match the country where your card is registered. If you intend to use a payment method in another country, you can make this selection on your Subscription page (We can only accept payment from our launch countries).
  3. Your card should be enabled for e-commerce transactions (Verified by Visa/Mastercard SecureCode).
  4. Your card must also be open to be used for foreign purchases.

After verifying these with your bank, ensure you have enough funds in your account and give it another try from your Subscription page.

Hey Babygurl86, I've had a chance to look at this now. On your account, we can't see why your card isn't being accepted at the moment.

 

I'd recommend checking the requirements that hpguru helpfully pointed out in the above post. And if you still have problems with this, try talking to your bank.

thanks but that dont help if all you people say is to check the requirements obviously i have done that does your site accept pre paid cards and if so what types of cards maybe i should get a free month of premium for all the aggravation and i hope theres an inprovement in customer support

You need a card with Verified by Visa/Mastercard. Actually Visa, Visa Electron or Mastercard. Or PayPal.

 

Spotify is designed for those credit cards or PayPal. So prepaid cards may not work at all. Check requirements with your prepaid card.
