My Question or Issue

I have had Spotify since it came out; I upgraded to a premium plan with my family in 2018. The decision to stop supporting Car Thing breaks my heart. My truck doesn't have bluetooth or a display so when Spotify Car Thing came out I was ecstatic. I love Spotify I have always thought it was way better than apple music because they would try to make**bleep** like the car thing and they weren't some huge heartless corporation like apple. But this and the fact that our premium plan gets raised a dollar all the time has made me rethink my position. 

My whole family uses I phones and have been discussing switching to apple music for YEARS. I WAS ALWAYS THE ONE TO KEEP THEM WITH SPOTIFY. Now I am over it if you don't make this right and my car thing stops working in December we will be switching to apple music.

What the **bleep** Spotify? I am not even a Car Thing user but this is f*cking unacceptable. Like WHY? There is absolutely no reason to do this other than profits and I swear to god you will be issuing full refunds for anyone requesting it. You are contributing to a growing problem in society, and this is why we can not have nice things. At least unlock then so people can tinker with them? I have been a customer for 10 years, and I am switching to another service. Disgusting way to treat your customers. BS.

1. this is ridiculous they shouldn't just cancel it because they didn't get the expected sales especially after such a short time, they won't even offer refunds or credit to the accounts. I loved my car thing and the fact that it's being just turned off is stupid to put it because if I would've know they just cancel it I wouldn't have purchased it in the beginning if anything they should just keep the server up and stop making new ones.

I have been nothing but cooperative, but this is ridiculous. Nuking the entire category after pointing every single person in the support chat to this community is ridiculous. You guys are testing my patience and losing my cooperation by the second.

The community would love to come to a solution for everyone rather than forcing refunds and filing class-action lawsuits, but when you delete every post and won't allow any dialogue we are forced to take action against Spotify, not with Spotify. Incredibly disappointed in the lack of transparency/trust in the community today.

Just read the posts here. You are not even providing refunds to people and you can not disclose the reasons? What a god-awful business practice! If you are losing profits because of the voice commands, deactivate that, and at least and let users keep the basic functionality of your API that the regular app utilizes?

I was hoping to advocate for open source software so the users that still have the device can maintain it and continue to use the device instead of having to throw it away. With it being discontinued by Dec 9th 2024, the ability for users to maintain their products that they have paid for is Crucial.

This is absolute**bleep**. Give me a refund for 2 of them. Why in the **bleep** would you brick a product customers paid for? Nobody is asking you to update and upgrade it, just keep the functional coding there or open it up for other uses. This is a trash move and making me heavily consider scrapping my subscription. My wife can go back to apple music. Creating this much unnecessary e-waste too? I hope you they sued.
