Equalizer auto preset by music genre

Idea for new Equalizer option:

Make equalizer adjust automatically to genre of the song 'playing now'.

Example: 

- Next Episode by Dre: EQ preset "Hip Hop"

- I need your love by Calvin Harris: EQ preset "Dance"

..and so on...

I have posted a similar idea. What I suggest is letting the users set a equalizer type to the plasylist, this way every time a playlist is played the equalizer will be automatically changed.

I just wonder how music belonging to multiple genres would be set in the eq.

evcamilo,great minds think alike! My playlists though, are obviously not as homogenous as your playlists 🙂

FredJ, great question! My thought was to not overcomplicate the issue of equalizing. Perhaps one can, starting from the already existing EQ presets, organize genres into EQ groups? Punk rock and garage rock into "Rock" setting etc.? 

I see that there will be inevitable border line cases, but personally doubt they will have a big impact. If an R&B-like song would be presented with the "hip Hop" preset for instance. We could live with that? A Mozart piece on the "Dance" preset. Maybe not?

Anyway, my idea was to make this an optional feature, to be switched on/ off at any given time.

Spotify has a graphic equalizer. But, for a person with varied tastes, it's not terribly useful. It's too inconvenient to change the settings for each song. I propose that this is a good task for automation.

I want a dynamic equalizer that uses genre as a heuristic to select the equalizer automatically, on a per-song basis.
