The main reason I stopped paying for Spotify Premium is because $10 is a lot of money to pay for music when you're a student who has other, more important stuff to focus your money on, like rent and food.
So when I found out a few months ago that Spotify now offered student discounts in Canada, I was thrilled. I mean, getting Premium at half price is a great deal! Sadly, I then found out that Quebec had, once again, been excluded from this promotion.
Quebec is a province like any other in Canada. Sure, our primary language is French, and yeah, some of us want to separate from the rest of the country, but until that day comes (if it ever does), we are still canadian citizens and are entitled to the same promotions and discounts as every other province and territory.
I hope Spotify rectifies this omission soon, because as much as I like the service they provide, I won't hesitate to get my music elsewhere if I can't afford it here.
