Artist named 'Little Feat' has changed to 'Little'?

Artist named 'Little Feat' has changed to 'Little'?

I noticed recently that the artist Little Feat had their artist name changed to Little. I searched around and found no reason for this. All their album artwork has Little Feat printed as their artist name. They're an older band but they still tour as Little Feat and have a website to support this. Is there any record as to why this was changed, and should this be fixed?

Hey @Ponanza, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. You can report content on Spotify following these steps, and Spotify will take a look and investigate.

Have a nice day!

Just noticed this myself. My assumption is that someone at Spotify did a search for "feat" as in "featuring" to instead list all artists separately in credits, thus deleting the word "feat" and accidentally caught Little Feat

Fortunately the issue is solved, most likely by somebody else. I honestly forgot to follow up on this since I wasn't receiving notifications.

I originally thought Billy-J's suggestion was the solution, but that form seems to be for reporting content that violates Spotify's rules. I found this before and decided to post on the community to avoid misusing their reporting feature. It does seem like this can be reported by contacting Spotify here: Contact us - Spotify

It seems that fixing Little Feat's name also coincided with their discography being restored, as originally I think Spotify was only hosting two or three albums. Anyhow, thanks for everyone's help!

Hey @Ponanza,

Thanks for sharing your solution with the Community! Keep in mind that the Report Content link that I provided in my last reply is the way to get in touch with Spotify if you notice any issues with content on the platform, whether it violates Spotify's policies or not. You can use that form even if you find something that isn't right (an issue with the song itself, the name, etc).

Happy to hear everything is fixed! Let me know if I can help with anything else.
