As the title says, can I get banned for repeating a song?
Here's my situation right now;
I've been listening to a single by an artist for 7000+ times for the past few months (as shown by last.fm stats).
I'm trying to be the top 0.0001% listener of this artist by the end of this year.
I'm streaming their song whenever I have my Spotify Desktop on, which is 2/3rds of a day most of the time.
Am I risking my account being banned for streaming the single repeatedly despite not *really* listening?

Hey there, welcome to the Spotify Community!
That is an interesting question but no, listening to an artist for such a long time will not get your account in any trouble. It will affect your recommendations as usual. Other than that nothing changes for your account. So no need to worry about it.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the quick response! I've been using Spotify for over 5 years now but this is the first time I'm attempting to repeat a song this much, and I'm just making sure that this behavior won't be affecting my account's status.
Again, thanks a bunch!
No problem! Feel free to get in touch if you need anything else.
