If I made a rap track about a sport like basketball but had all the lyrics generated by AI and the song is sung by AI could I upload it to Spotify?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hello! How are you?
Although the idea is intriguing, it's important to consider Spotify's policies and guidelines before uploading. Spotify generally allows the distribution of AI-generated music as long as the creator holds the copyrights to the music and it doesn't violate the platform's content policies. However, it's crucial to ensure that the music doesn't infringe on third-party copyrights, such as copyrighted song lyrics or samples from existing songs. Therefore, when considering uploading AI-generated music to Spotify, it's essential to verify compliance with the platform's policies and ensure that all legal and quality aspects are addressed properly.

My Question or Issue
i have written a song. The words are all written by me. I used an app to generate the music and to add voices to my song. Is this ok and would I be able to put my songs on Spotify ? Thanks Stewart
While using AI for lyrics and vocals is innovative, it’s important to check the licensing and copyright policies of the AI tools you’re using. If you want to add a unique touch to your track or modify it further, consider using audiomodify.com. It can help you refine your sound before uploading it to Spotify. Just make sure everything is clear on the legal side, and you should be good to go!
Did you ever find an answer to this?? I have the same question

AI slop is a legal grey area as it has been trained off real music, by real artists, who've spent lifetimes honing their craft, only to have some twit spend 5 minutes with an AI bot to steal their soul for a quick buck. You all should be ashamed.
So...
Do you drive a car made in an automated factory?
Do you eat food packed in an automated factory?
Are all you cups, plates, utensils hand crafted?
No?
Then why has it been OK for automation to replace people for centuries but now it impacts you it's not?
So...
Do people not still work in those automated factories?
Do people still not get hired to fix those factory machines, have to go to school to learn that skill and get paid good for it?
Are those factories built on theft?
No?
Then it's not even an accurate comparison is it?
It hasn't been ok, there have been battles between labor and the corporations at every step of the way. Automation in many of these factories has lead to mass layoffs, high unemployment, homelessness, and the destruction of entire communities. How was ANY of that ok?
And now AI is starting that process all over again, though this time they're going to kill off entire countries, not just communities. Definitely NOT ok.
It's actually a very accurate comparison, just look at the damage automation did to the job market, now expand that 100 fold and you have the potential harm that AI can cause if not reigned in immediately.
