Disappearance of certain tunes & groups

Hopefully somebody from Spotify sees this, but I doubt that. First time being on the apps profile/community/blog area of the this wonderful app.

Anyway, my first two very specific questions are what happened to Chris Cornell's cover of Nothing Compares 2 U by Prince. Same thing happened with the studio version of the song Machine Gun Man by Zakk Wylde of BLS.

I've been on and using Spotify for almost 3 years now and they've always been there, and then they're just...not there. Please fix this and or in the meantime somebody at least explain to me wth happened. They're my two favorite jams!

Last small but direct question is this: why in the frick is Tool not on Spotify for me to headbang to?! What in the F is going on here folks?!? Somebody please help, I'm distraught.

Spotify wants all the world’s music on Spotify. However, some artists and tracks aren't currently available. Sometimes agreements can’t be reached with the artist or label or a change may happen in music ownership.

However, please know thousands of albums and artists are added to Spotify every day. If you can’t find an artist you’re looking for, they may appear (or reappear) soon.

In the meantime, feel free to contact the artist or their label to ask when they plan to be on Spotify. Thanks!

Hey @BigDalt1993

For your Tool-related question I recommend reading this thread. :)

As much as I'd like to say that Spotify has every song ever produced, it really isn't possible for that to happen. Sometimes Spotify doesn't have the rights for every song. In your particular case, however, it is strange that it has been removed, I would say that it is probably related to some copyright issue somewhere. But you've done the best thing you can by posting here and asking Spotify.

Sorry I couldn't be of much more help!
