Hi,
I've been using Spotify during the early months of my baby girl and I was playing some lullaby playlists for her quite often. However, soon after I realized it was jeopardizing my discover weekly list, I've opened a new account for her, under new user details and everything and I kept listening to my usual stuff right after. The problem is, it's been more than 5-6 months maybe since I opened another account for her, my discover weekly list(on my original account) suggests nothing else than children's songs, lullabies, etc...
How can i make it right again?

My Question or Issue
Hi @eglat,
Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting.
Since your Discover Weekly list is updating regularly, we can only suggest you to keep listening to more of your preferred genres, this way the personalized lists will eventually pick up on those tastes.
Also, to speed up the process we suggest you remove the unwanted songs from your Discover Weekly. You can find more info on how to do it in this article.
Lastly, whenever you're going to play music you don't want recommended later, you can turn on the Private Session feature, this way that music won't be included in your personalized lists.
Hope this clears things up. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
Well, as I said, it has been more than maybe 5-6 months since I started listening to my regular genres again but there seems to be NO change at all in my discover weekly.
How long do I have to wait more for AI to eventually understand that I NEVER listen to what it brings to me every week on my discover weekly?
Hi @eglat,
Thanks for your reply.
We can't know for sure how long it'll take to start receiving more accurate recommendations again in your Discover Weekly, since that's an automated process.
We suggest following the steps in the article that @MafeG shared above to improve your personalized playlists.
Hope that helps. If you need anything else, the Community is here for you!
I've already tried them long before you guys told me. I thought you would tell me something I do not know already or anything actually works.
(this was the worst reply anyone could get btw: "We can't know for sure how long it'll take to start receiving more accurate recommendations again in your Discover Weekly" really? because it normally gets what you listen right away and includes something related within your next "automated" list.
This is not my first year in Spotify, I've been using it since 2016, so I'm kind of familiar with how all these works. Your approach got me thinking, someone is not doing a very good job somewhere and I'm afraid it is not me.
Hi again @eglat,
We're sorry you feel that way.
We understand that not receiving the recommendations you'd like isn't ideal, but unfortunately, this isn't something that can be switched on/off on either our end or the user's.
You could also try creating a new account. After a couple of weeks, the app will get to know your taste again in the new account and start creating personalized playlists based on your taste and listening habits. You can then transfer your content to the new account by following these steps. Since subscriptions can't be transferred, you'd need to cancel your current subscription and subscribe again in the new account, if you decide to keep it.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
