How are artists with the same name separated?

There are four artists named "The Allies" whose music comes up together when you search for them. In chronological order, the first is a Seattle rock band from the 1980s, the second is a rap act, a third is a barbershop quartet, and a fourth is an Akron-based alt-rock band.

Should these be separated in some way? If so, how?

Indeed, different artists with the same name should have their own artist profiles on Spotify.

To let Spotify know about this issue, I recommend visiting this support article, where you can find instructions regarding how to report issues with music on Spotify. There you will find a link to contact Customer Support; in this contact form, you can select “Report a broken track/album,” then “I STILL NEED HELP"; and after copying and pasting the Spotify album URIs and filling in the rest of the contact form, click “Send Question.” The right Spotify teams will then look into this issue.
