How do I remove a playlist suggestion from my 'good morning' view?

Every time I open spotify I get greeted by this friendly lady on the cover of the playlist "Gently Mouthing you ASMR". I opened this playlist "ONCE". Additionally I get more recommendations for another ASMR playlist I opened once.. If I was listening to this kind of thing more often I would understand but the only reason I opened them in the first place was because Spotify kept throwing them in my face.

 

Spotify does not give me an option to remove this suggestion from this page and she's been there for more than a month already..

Every time I open Spotify at work I have to look behind my shoulder because of this unnecessary explicit content.

Even if it was a normal playlist, Spotify should give me the option to remove it from these suggestions no?!?

I'm having the same fvcking problem from over a month and just wanna get rid of it I tried playing many playlists and other songs I like but it's working on my android the 2 playlists I want to remove just removed my other songs they stay in my view which is so annoying

2023 and still not fixed. Click on something once and its right up there all the time ... especially 18+ or erotic content .. there should be a privacy feature or like EVERONE else suggests the option to remove content oder disable good morning. Spotify seems to want to push erotic contetn and embaress customers.

same, have a podcast i have unsusbribe to and that gets back here which makes it plays after other podcast are done, stopping everytime the play but still getting episode from that source, very very annoying as i dislike both content & voice of that show. make it at least that we can block a content from beeing recommanded !!!

This has been plaguing me for months. I have a smart home setup to turn on my computer speakers and the voice assistant misinterpreted what I said and thought I wanted a Spotify playlist played called " Computer Sounds". Now I can't get rid of this stupid playlist recommendation. Extremely annoying now that I found this hasn't been fixed in years. Going to be moving on if this is not fixed soon.

LOL, I have a similar playlist that is stuck to my recommended screen and not even REPORTING it removed it from my suggested screen.  What a joke.  How is it that a company like Spotify does not have the resources to address something like this.  You can't tell me this is on the radar for three+ years and "we just can't get around to it." **bleep**.  This has to be a money-driven, conscious decision by Spotify.  Somehow they are promising things to creators on the backend that prevent them from actually tailoring their product to the end users.  It's one thing if it's a free product, but this being a paid product and this level of non-response..?  Pretty shitty that Spotify WON'T address this.

I got 'suggested' a track by a friend, and now it's always in my recent history list, even though I was clearly trolled because I had no idea how terribad it was.

Can I right click on it and click the Remove option? NOPE.  After 3+ years of this thread, Spotify designers are either told not to add the feature by higher up's, or are incompetent.

For a while now, my home page on both mobile and desktop has turned into a massive push to podcast. If you look at the attached screenshot, this is what i see... no music... only podcast. I have to scroll down to see some music suggestions.

I tried to unsubscribe to most podcast i am listening to, but no changes yet...

I too am plagued by this annoying and garbage design 'feature'. I can even seem to manipulate it into showing stuff I at least like. As others have noted it's showing me things I listened to once for a silly reason and now I'm premanently reminded about it. Sort out this basic quality of life issue, Spotify! Gawd!

This is really annoying seeing a podcasted I dislike continue to be front page for months and auto playing after different podcast finish. Please fix this, what would Jesus do?

Yes of course, it's a money driven decision.

Spotify is still loosing money each year, its business model isn't fit for market. The big 3 have impose to Spotify too much redistribution, therefore Spotify is pushing podcasts like mad since the music industry isn't involved in it.

Another work around I can think of is downloading the better (older) version.

The old version had a much, much better UI. More intuitive, you could scroll through saved music by artist, which is something I greatly miss.

I did this for awhile back when they completely changed the UI, but after getting a new phone, and being lazy about getting the old version again, I got used to the current model...might need to see if this still works. 🤔

2024 and we still cannot customize ANYTHING on the homepage. Seriously fk u spotify for ignoring so obvious problems for MANY MANY YEARS NOW. Spotify hates their users, shoving them unwated bullsh*t content down their throats with NO ability to remove anything, to customize anything. spotify sucks

This is not ok and please, don't act like it is normal.
I spent countless hours to create the playlist for the music that I like.
I don't want your suggestions, in those playlist. I just want to listen to the song that I selected.
When I want to have suggestions, I can use "song radio" or listen to your playlist that, by the way, are great.
Madness.

All of this is to push the songs that paid you the most in terms of Ad.
