How do I remove music from my Artist page?

Solved!

How do I remove music from my Artist page?

This is more directed towards the community staff. But I've emailed twice about this situation and I've never gotten a reply.

I've applied and been granted access to my Artist profile a couple months ago. There is someone else's music on my Artist page. A singer who used to call herself 'Fayte' in which she has been inactive for years.

I'm wondering if there's a way to get her stuff removed from my page, or if it's possible for us to have separate 'Fayte' artist's if the first option isn't available.

Thank you for your time.

Thanks.

Spotify is working to make it easier for you to report problems with your music. For now, you’ll need to reach out to your distributor or aggregator and they’ll work with the team to make sure your profile gets fixed.

Hey @Faytez,

Can you please post the links to the releases that've been wrongly placed onto your artist page?

Thanks 🙂

@Maxim Thank you for reaching out to me 🙂 The links to the unwanted tracks are below.

I don't know why the URL's are coming up as previews. But I hope that's not an issue.

The songs that I linked above do not belong to me. I've contacted Spotify support multiple times and they haven't gotten back to me. I have full and complete access to my artist page through artists.spotify.com .

I understand that, but you’ll need to reach out to your distributor or aggregator and not Spotify Support 🙂

Why the distributor of Spotify is the ones who did this? An artists I represent has the same issue and it's very frustrating.

Just hooking into this thread cause we have the same issue. It is impossible for us to find out which distributor put the music on Spotify, so how can we separate them from our account if we don't know who to contact?

@Sidewalk-nl,

Do you not know the name of the distributor who puts your music on Spotify?

Hi Maxim,

Thanks for your answer! I thought you meant the distributer who put their music on.

Anyhow, we used Distrokid, they have only have this separation request page: https://distrokid.com/ArtistSeparation/spotify/

That will help you to put your music on your profile page, which I already did. However, they don't have control over the music that is on our page that we want unlinked right? The other bands could have used a totally different distributor...

Thanks!

@Sidewalk-nl,

They can report that kind of music issue too.

You can reach out to them at https://distrokid.desk.com/customer/portal/emails/new 🙂

Hi Maxim,

Thanks! I just did, I hope they can actually do this. Would be a bit weird that other distributors can shuffle music to different pages right?

I'm pretty sure that they can 🙂

Let me know how it goes!

Hi Malcolm22,

I've asked Distrokid to separate our music from other artists. They were able to do that for us so I guess your distributor could do the same.

All the best and good luck

It's Actually very easy. Go to https://artists.spotify.com/c/content-mismatch.

Follow the steps and there you go. Spotify fixed my problem within 15 days.
