My Question or Issue

I’m the Plan Manager and use an iPhone while my partner is listed as a plan member on my account using an android phone. Our kids have a found a podcast they really like and listen to on my partners phone a lot. I recently went to try and play the same podcast for my kids and all the episodes are locked under my app and require a paid subscription. Why is there a difference in accessibility? 

For reference, the podcast is Grimm, Grimmer, Grimmest

Thanks for reaching out. That's odd.

 

Can you please resync the Spotify app by logging out of it and back in twice in a row? Once that's done, please give it another try.

 

If the issue persists, please share a screenshot of how the podcast looks in your app.

Tried that - still showing locked. My mom has free version of the app (also Android) and I had her check this same podcast series and it’s not locked for her! Wonder if this is an Apple thing?

Nice troubleshooting so far! Jumping in here just to recommend checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if the behavior could be device-related.

 

It would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists. This will give us a better look at it.

I just logged in on my laptop and was able to access the podcast under my account! When I hit "play" it started playing on my iPhone! Bonus, now on my iPhone the entire feed shows unlocked. Problem solved, even though, I'm curious why the issue in the first place?! Odd.
