When XXXTENACION & Avicii passed away (and a lot of other artists) they had
a playlist dedicated to them saying “RIP Blank” but why didn’t they have a
playlist made like this on the homepage immediately after Mac Miller died?

Well, in my humble opinion, it all depends to record handler whether he/she wants to put suffix "RIP" on that particular artist who peacefully return to our Creator. Maybe in later days they will change it.
