MISSING ALBUMS - Back to Normal(ish)

I have mentioned this already in the 'Blur' topic, but this is important. Several albums have dissapeared from several artists, such as Blur, Daft Punk, Justice and David Bowie. Wonder if anyone's got any ideas if this is normal and will be fixed or we should be panicking. Or not. I am also dissatisfied that albums and songs are taken off at all, leaving those hideous repalcement tags. They're kinda annoying.

So anyway, any thoughts on this would be great

Great job on getting the missing Pavement albums back on Spotify and adding Depeche Mode's "Black Celebration."  Now if we can just get The Lemonheads' "Lovey," The Decemberists' "Five Songs EP" and Ted Leo & The Pharmacists catalog back, I'll be a happy camper.

Also...what happened to Michael Jackson's "Bad" album?

The Great Escape from Blur is still missing, any moderator that can answer?

Yes, it does seem that The Great Escape isn't available at the moment. The reason why might be best explained at this FAQ link.

Sorry this doesnt make any sense.

Everything else is available, just one of their albums isnt.

The people at Spotify have to doublecheck the settings I'm afraid.

That's the case with The Lemonheads' "Lovey" and The Decemberists' "Five Songs" EP.  For both artists, all of the rest of their albums are available except those 2.  If anyone at Spotify can shed any light on this, it would be appreciated.

Hi all.

I don't know for certain if this falls under the same error, but I noticed today that Bowie - Black Tie White Noise album is partially missing.

The missing tracks say they are not available to the UK.

I apologize for a semi necro of this thread, but I'm disheartened to see that Korn - Untitled (which features Evolution) is not available and only the single is available.  This album had previously been available, but as of today (I listened to it a couple of days ago) it's not available.  This is rather frustrating.  Can you tell me if the album is part of the technical glitch or if Korn has decided to let us listen to EVERY other album and not that one?

Funny how this has moved from being part of the original problem to simply telling off Spotify at what albums are missing. So while I'm here, any answers on why Justice's Cross goes on and off, and is currently off?

I have just noticed that 'Only by the Night' by Kings of Leon is missing from Denmark's Spotify.

I can find the link to this album via Google but it has all the songs greyed out and I get an error message saying that 'this track is currently not available in Denmark'.

Is it just a temporary thing or is it gone for good? 😕

Just looked into Only by the Night - Seems there's quite a few versions kicking around on the Spotify catalogue (probably each country has different issues of the album), although couldn't tell if any of them were particularly for Denmark at all.

Not too sure about Justice, however. If it's not back soon, I can pop a message along to our content team.

I couldn't find "Lovey" on Spotify at all, so I'm afraid it's most likely been taken down by the rights holders or the label that released the album. A little more information on why this might happen can be found right here.

All of a sudden i have lost several songs fropm Kings of Leon, like Closer (the complete album) Sex on fire and so on..

Several albums still is on spotify so i don´t thnk its any licensing thing...

What happend tyo the songs ?

How do we know if there's a fault, or if an album has been removed for a reason?

Many of these tracks/albums seem to have been here one day then gone the next.
