MISSING ALBUMS - Back to Normal(ish)

I have mentioned this already in the 'Blur' topic, but this is important. Several albums have dissapeared from several artists, such as Blur, Daft Punk, Justice and David Bowie. Wonder if anyone's got any ideas if this is normal and will be fixed or we should be panicking. Or not. I am also dissatisfied that albums and songs are taken off at all, leaving those hideous repalcement tags. They're kinda annoying.

So anyway, any thoughts on this would be great

The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway by Genesis is corrupted.

Half of the tracks are missing, and those tracks which are not missing are not the correct album tracks, they are live versions which appear on other albums.

From a German view : I have been missing Threads by Now, Now and So Jealous by Tegan And Sara (three songs off this album are still available, but are linked to other albums), and also all the albums and EPs by The Arcade Fire except The Suburbs, though all of the songs from this album are linked to " Scenes From The Suburbs ".

Im not happy until my slayer is back. I miss having the "south of heaven" and "world painted blood" songs on my thrash playlist.

I contacted Spotify about my problem (see 2 posts above) and they told me that it was most likely because they don't own the rights of diffusion anymore. They proposed me to contact the artist label to investigate why...

So what's the point of paying when your playlists get emptied and you have to go to other streaming services to listen to your favorite tracks ? I'm disappointed 😞

This topic went quiet for a while - but has this thing gone wrong again? I've seen hundreds of tracks on my playlists go missing seemingly just in the last few days. It's so darn difficult for subscribers when we don't know if it's a technical hiccup or a rights issue.

In the case of several artists, some of their albums have suddenly become unavailable while others are still threre. Then If I do a label search, the label still has many other tracks on Spotify - so to my mind neither the Artist or the Label has withdrawn - but who knows? Someone surely does and as paying customers of this service we could do with greater clarity.

When an album becomes unavailable due to rights issues, it is still left linked to playlists so please let's have an indication when rights have been definately withdrawn rather than leaving doubt in our minds as to why it can't be played.

Figured I'd revive this thread considering spotify says that I have 208 albums in my library but when I noticed some missing bands I counted 160 albums actually available in my library. I'm hoping this gets corrected soon.

Kylie Minogue's "The Abbey Road Session" also disappeared. I hope it will be back soon, it's one of my favorite albums at the moment.

I noticed this today, I was looking through some of the bands I felt like listening to and so far I have noticed this list of bands having missing albums

Watain - missing a couple

Deathspell Omega - the most recent 3 albums are now gone

Benighted - Missing the most recent album now

That's all I have found so far but it's majorly dissapointing.

I saw the same issue in the last few days.

Some of the albums of Bligg (swiss singer) were available and are not anymore. you can find the albums on the internet page of spotify (searched bligg spotify on google) and then when linking with the programm the albums are not available.

Where this problem come from?

Hello,

I don't as well understand why some albums are disappearing! Woodkid EP as disappeared as the same time its new album was uploaded on Spotify. This happens all the time and i don't see the relation with copyrights since other songs/albums of tha same artists are available.

Deezer doesn't seem to have this problem.

Can you please fix this issue?

Nirvana's album "Nirvana" is only available through search. It's not on the artist page.

Hi David, I'm a premium member and I've noticed that I can't find Cat Power's "Jukebox" album on spotify anymore. Is this something on my account that can't be accessed or did that album get removed (I can use google to search for the album and it shows up on the spotify website)? Thanks in advance for any info.

Perhaps licensing issues? All korn albums are there except their untitled album missing half the time and when it is there, all songs are grey except evolution, their most popular track on the album.

It's just weird that all albums that are available aren't listed on the artist's page. They used to be before the big update and I know they are available but I have to search for them specifically and it's annoying.
