Premium Home Page Take Over ad model is not enable for Family Premium users. Before I was an individual premium user I was able to see Premium ads on Spotify. I didn't hide announcements. So do you have an idea, if one of my family members enabled 'hide announcements', maybe it doesn't work for me anymore either?
Thanks,
Gamze
Hey there @Gamze4,
Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community. We moved your post from the Ideas board to the relevant Help board, where it fits better.
Could you let us know which ads are you referring to exactly? If you have a screenshot of it, make sure to send it to us so we can take a closer look. You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert image option in the post editor.
Also, on which devices you used to see them? If you're referring to the in-app ads about new releases, you can toggle that option on in the desktop app settings. If someone in the Premium Family plan toggles it off, it won't affect the other accounts' settings in the plan since they're separate. You can double-check if you have this option on under Display in Settings.
Keep us in the loop.
Hey @Gamze4,
Thanks for the clarification!
Do you mean this type of display ads? As a Premium user, no matter what plan you're on, you shouldn't have seen such ads in the desktop app as they are tailored for the ad-supported free service. Were the ads you got artist promotions or regular ads about a product/service? Is it possible that you were logged in a free account when you saw them?
Can you try attaching the screenshot again so that we can take a look? You can also upload it in Google Drive (make sure to allow general access to the file) and share the link.
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Hello Dessi,
Thanks for your answer. I couldn't open the link you shared with me, it's blank. But I mean homepage takeover ads for Premium users. I'm %100 sure that I was able to see these ads in my premium account. It's always about artist promotions, as a distributor company we can also reserve this type of ad as well. Here you can see an example from my friend's premium account : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l9Nrb1iha5shEN50kBhzL8a4jBR-WHZL/view?usp=sharing
Hope it helps.
Best,
Gamze
Hey @Gamze3,
Thanks for the clarification!
Sometimes it's possible for Premium users to get such artist promotions, but it's not so common. You can double-check the account you're logged in, since you might have another account, which is on the free service and that's the reason why you were seeing such artist promotions all the time. All in all, if you want to book such ads, keep in mind that they will be shown primarily to free users.
Hope this clears things up.
Thanks Dessi. But no, it doesn't help. All of my Premium user friends be able to see PHPTO ads which is the Premium Home Page Take Over as befits the name 🙂 Only I'm not able to see which is very strange. I deleted the app and reinstalled it but unfortunately it still doesn't work.
Hey @Gamze3,
Thank you for your message.
It's possible that the section you mentioned could be a test. Keep in mind that at Spotify, we're always testing things by adding or removing features to make Spotify better overall, so you or someone else may see something new or get a limited feature temporarily on the app. We’re sorry that this means you’re not able to see that section like you wish to do at the moment.
Once again - thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it. Let us know if we can help with anything else. We're always one reply away.
Cheers!
