My Question or Issue
When I open the app the playlist that I was previously listening to changes to a recommended song.
I've cleared the cache, reinstalled the app and restarted my phone a few times but nothing changes. What should be done?
Thanks in advance
whenever i use the mobile app and i make a new playlist with maybe a few songs, i go to play it, and it just gives me a random song that i didnt add to my playlist, saying that spotify added it, and i dont know how to stop it cuz i dont like it.
Hey there @Piupa,
Thanks for reaching out on the Community!
Sounds like you're seeing some of the features of the free plan. Sometimes, recommendations may show up in your playlists. If you have shorter playlists, more recommendations might be suggest for you, so you can expand your listening.
What I can suggest is that you add more songs to your own playlists. Another option is to upgrade to Premium, where you can listen to playlists and tracks in any order you like.
We hope this clear things up! Cheers.
Hello,
Thanks for replying!
Is this a new feature? I have had Spotify for many years and this only started happening recently.
I usually listen to my own playlists that have over 100 songs in them. My problem usually occurs when listening to these long playlists and the songs switch to a completely different genre that is not found in my playlists. In addition, the recommended song is always the same and afterwards it starts playing only songs similar to the recommended song.
(Sorry, I should've elaborated more on my original post...)
I have to add that the recommended song is not in the playlist and that the playlist that I was listening to just ends.
Thanks for clarifying @Piupa!
In that case you might have Autoplay toggled on in the app's settings: whenever the last song in the queue finishes playing, Autoplay will generate a new queue with similar tracks so that the playback never stops. You can disable it under Settings > Playback.
Hope this helps. Cheers!
So my problem stopped for a while but then it began again and so I tried disabling autoplay but it did not help either...
