My Question or Issue

I follow a lot of music. Some artists have names that are ripped off by smaller artists and the artist pages get mixed up. I understand this is an ongoing issue and one not as easily solved. However, what bothers me the most is when I click "I don't like <artist>" from a song in my Release Radar, that artist keeps showing up in future Release Radar iterations because they once again include that same duplicated artist name who is in fact not the artist I am really following.

Example: this artist "Liberi Noctis" has been uploading music with "Metrik" billed in the credits (see: spotify:track:2KysTb8FArTsbvQTzpBAkd). I have clicked "I don't like Liberi Noctis" at least 8 different times and I still get their music in my Release Radar.

Can you let us know how many songs/artists you've roughly disliked?

Some artists I have disliked at least 10 songs while others are one-off occurrences of misattributed artist names.

Hi again @AndrewBlizard,

Thank you for your reply.

Can you confirm how many songs you've marked as "I don't like" roughly?

Keep us posted 🙂

Cheers!

Hi Jeremy,

It's hard to put a finger on it since it's been happening for probably a year. At least 40. Some weeks have as many as 5 fake artist names on them, but most are not that bad.

Hi @AndrewBlizard,

Thank you for getting back in touch with us.

Can you try to block the artists from their artist page on your mobile phone to see if the issue persist?

Note this only works for songs where the artist is credited as the main artist and for features.

Keep us posted 🙂

Cheers!

This has seemed to work okay so far, but it's frustrating I have to open the app on my phone to fix the issue of misattributed artist names.

Hey @AndrewBlizard,

Thanks for keeping in touch.

We're glad to know it's working so far and appreciate your feedback about it. We'll make sure to pass it on to the right folks. Apologies for any inconvenience.

We'll be right here in case you have any questions or need anything else.

Take care!
