Song requests/Album update - Jeff Beck Beckology - compilation

Song requests/Album update - Jeff Beck Beckology - compilation

The Jeff Beck - Beckology compilation is missing these first 3 songs -

  1. "Trouble in Mind" – The Tridents (unreleased)
  2. "Nursery Rhyme" (live) – The Tridents (unreleased)
  3. "Wandering Man Blues" – The Tridents (unreleased)

Can they please be added? Thanks.

Hey @Demicami, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

Content on platforms like Spotify depends on various factors, mainly licensing deals and how the copyright owner decides to distribute it. Creator/owner of the content can decide whether they want it available, restrict, or take it down in certain regions.

Once the licensing deals are in place or the copyright owner decides to make the content available, you should be able to find it in-app as usual.

I hope that sheds some light on the topic, for more info you can check out Missing Content.

Let me know if you need anything else. 🙂

Ok thanks, its just strange because I didnt think The Tridents (early Jeff Beck era) were under any different copyright rules, especially that it was originally released as the first 3 songs on this official compilation from 1991.

Thanks for the reply @Demicami. If you do have the local files, you can actually use them in the Spotify app. Check out the local files feature to know more. ✌️

Thanks, I didnt know this. So if I upload my own music files, can I then add these to a playlist I created with Spotify files? And will my files stay private or will they now be available to others through my playlist?

Yes @Demicami you can use the files with your playlists.

For example, you can enable the local files feature and add those songs to other playlists. The playlists can be a mix of Spotify songs and your own local files. You don’t need to restrict it to just the local files unless you want to.

The files are never uploaded, so they will stay private. Even if they are added to a shared playlist the other users will not be able to use them.

This also means that if you have multiple devices, you will need to manually add them to each device but the playlist will always sync as usual.

Not only that, they will also become searchable in your playlists by title, artist name, etc.  just like any other song on the platform.
