Songs keep being listed as unsaved

Songs keep being listed as unsaved

Hello, I couldn't find anywhere to post this, so I figured this would be the best place. I've had this problem for a very long time now where, on mobile and pc, I would go to a song or album through the search and it would say that I had not saved the song. When I go to save the song, I then have a duplicate in my library each time I do. Does anyone know of a way to fix this, or to remove duplicate songs automatically? Thanks

Hey there @Lemboi,

thanks for posting in the community !

This sounds really odd.

I know it might sound a bit too easy but, have you tried reinstalling the app accross devices ?

It assures you get the latest version of the app with clean cache and might just solve this issue.

Let me know how you did 😃

I would do the Same. Log out, Log in. Reintstall the app.

This is an old issue Spotify doesn't care to fix at this point as far as I'm aware. They rename an album, hide the old album and put a new one up without merging the saved songs. Very annoying when trying to manage saved songs!

I think I've figured out the problem, and it's not spotify's fault. Given how easy it is to do so, artists often tend to re-release their music on spotify (when they change labels/remaster their old versions or wework them), it happens often that these new versions replace the old ones. I think this is the case because going to the album section of a song I have downloaded shows every song I have downloaded from that album as liked, meaning that it's an older version of the album that still exists somewhere on Spotify's server but is not the one the artist has currently uploaded. It's strange, but that seems to be the way it's working after searching through multiple albums with this issue.
