Spotify Censorship

Spotify Censorship

Spotify, why are you messing with "Pink Season" by "Pink Guy"? A while ago the results were removed from the search index, however you could still find the music. Now it seems that whole songs have been removed, and the titles have been changed. For example you can still find the song "Nickelodeon Girls" but if you play it; the next song "STFU" plays. What's going on here?

Hi @BicBoi, welcome!

Do you mean this album?

I see 34 songs in it - is there any song missing?

If so, I can tell you that missing or unavailable music is almost always a decision by the artist/label to withhold the content from Spotify. Sometimes it's temporarily unavailable while they sort out legal issues or correct metadata, in which case it'll be back up as soon as they resubmit it to Spotify. While it might be a good idea to contact the label directly and ask why the music isn't on Spotify, you can also use Twitter and Facebook to ask the artists themselves.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

It's not just Nickelodeon girls and STFU. I think all the songs have wrong names. Something happened and it's all mixed up now.

The problem is that whenever you click on a song from the album (only this album) it plays the song next in line which is extremely aggravating when you're listening to them on shuffle.
