Spotify autoplay when opening Garmin Connect without logging in

Spotify autoplay when opening Garmin Connect without logging in

This problem has been present for several months on my S25 Plus phone. This issue has been investigated by Garmin, but they were unable to find the problem. Their suggestion was to contact Spotify.

If I log in to Garmin Connect, Spotify starts playing the last song. When I log out of Garmin Connect, the song stops playing.

If I log out of Garmin Connect and open the app without logging in, it starts playing the last song. When I log out of Garmin Connect, the song stops playing.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled both apps, and I've limited the settings, and the problem still persists.

The only way I've found to stop this from happening is to log out of Spotify while using Garmin Connect.

Can anyone give me any clues on how to fix this problem, please?

Hi there @acasanla,

Thanks for your post here in the Community and welcome!

We really appreciate your detailed description of the situation, and for letting us know you already reached out to Garmin Support.

So we can better understand what's happening, would you mind sending us a video recording of this behavior? You can attach it in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.

On another note, we'd like to know if this started happening after a specific event such as an update. That being said, it's also worth checking if the OS of your watch has any pending updates.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply!
