My Question or Issue

Spotify's own genre mix (k-pop, j-pop and mandopop mix) combines the languages in the playlists. At the beginning of these mixes it worked and it separated the 3 languages. But now it combines them together. I get Korean and Chinese in the j-pop mix, Korean in the mandopop mix. But the k-pop mix isn't affected. It is both on my iPhone and Windows.

Hey @hello671,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

First up, we'd recommend logging out and then logging back in two times in a row on your devices. It sounds a bit odd, but it forces a sync between the account and your devices.

If you still experience this, it might be caused by an issue with your device's cache. Not to worry, performing a clean reinstall of the app on both devices should help you solve this. It'll get you the latest app version with all necessary updates and fixes and will remove any corrupted files from previous installations.

Keep in mind that you'll need to re-download your offline music and podcasts afterwards.

Let us know how things work out,

Cheers!

Hey @hello671,

Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.

We'd like to gather some additional details here. Just to confirm, would you mind checking if perhaps you've added some additional content to listen to on your queue? It's possible you have some other playlist or songs in the queue ready to start playing. So, we'd recommend you check if there's something on the queue to play next. If yes, you can clear the queue, you first have to locate it by following the steps in this article. Then you can hit the Clear queue button to see if you notice any difference.

On another note, have you enabled the Enhance feature while streaming these playlists? If yes, please deactivate to check if you notice any difference. You can read more about the enhance feature in this article.

Keep us in the loop!

I have checked both and I haven't used those features when listening to these playlists. My queue was always empty and I didn't turn on the enhance feature.

Hey @hello671,

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.

We've tried to replicate the issue on our end, but since those playlists are "Made for you", the tracks may vary between accounts.

Taking this into account, would you mind sending some screenshots where we can see the songs with the wrong language included on your J-pop and Mando-pop mixes, along with the URI of those songs to continue investigating? This will give us a better look at the issue.

We'll be on the lookout.
