Hello,
I had a song added to a playlist called 'House Music' by the profile 'Artister.io' without my consent. Researching a bit I found the playlist to be somewhat suspicious, according to the site "https://artister.io" this profile charges to have music added to their playlists, but I did not pay to have my music added to any of their playlists. I wonder how to proceed in this case, cause I don't want to have my artist profile related to any playlists that use bots or something like that.
Thank you all 🙂

Hey folks,
Thanks for reaching out.
Our Artist Support team are the best folks to help out with this. You can reach out to them here. If you've already reached out to them, there's nothing more you need to do. They'll get back to you soon with a reply and you can keep in touch with them for further assistance or if you have further questions about this matter.
We'll be right here in case you need anything else.
Cheers 🙂
This happened to me as well same with WAVR and Artister I reported it to Artist Support as well. I am with you I have no idea who these people are
With you on this! They removed my post as well.
Hey CeeMaere,
This exact thing just happened to me as well both on WAVR.AI and Artister.io. I reported it. I have no idea who these people are. I'm with you on this.
@JVJR2
Glad you got it sorted out. When you contacted Artist Support which support category did you use in the dropdown? None seem all that applicable and Spotify Artist Support never even got back to me. Luckily I did get dropped from the playlist it and it was removed from my discovered on. The whole thing is a mess. Spotify should have a much easier way to report fake playlists.
After doing my research I stumbled on this as well. Found out they do indeed charge for playlisting. My hope is that my account isn't punished for the possible fake streams. Link to playlist here:

Link to website where they charge is here:
Let me know how I can remedy this. I want to engage real fans. not manufactured ones.
Today I have found a song of mine featured in one of the wavr.ai playlists so I wrote them on whatsapps and they have responded me. They deleted the song from the playlist. This is the screenshot of the conversation, I hope it can help musicians who get to experience this bad situation.
Got 2 songs added to this without my consent! Arrg.
Someone plox help.
Got a response that said they can't remove songs from a user's playlist.... 😿
Hey, my first ever single also got added to a WAVR.AI playlist today, which I had never heard of until now. This is the playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0QBhgVhF1ELmzFCbiq4vUk?si=a38e4d8a2daa4f19
It's already boosted my stats significantly and I emailed support but reading the comments above they haven't really done anything about it. Really hoping this will get sorted though because its the worst way to grow as an Artist.
Artister.io added me as well arrg
Hey everyone,
my music got added aswell some months ago onto a playlist by "WAVR.AI" and yesterday onto a playlist by "Artister.io"(all removed now), these "businesses" are nothing else than a scam as these are artificial streams by bots and not organic. People still fall for this and are thankful, as you can see on their twitter and instagram, not knowing that it’s bad for their algorithm, stats, account or even image as an artist. The answers from Spotify seem to be automatically as I can see a pattern with all the answers you wrote in here. They told me the same and did not let go the assumption that i paid for this "service" even though I told them multiple times that I never paid for promotion. The solution is simple, a permanent ban for these accounts, it’s been going on for too long now. But how do we make that possible? The report-system is a mess as you can’t choose the right topic…
Hello,
I also got a track of mine added to one of their suspicious playlist.

I have already reported this. But just want to let you know that this is still happening.
My song 'Day Before A Monday' got added to a Wavr.ai playlist without my consent. I noticed it just now when my stats updated. I've reported it to Spotify but not sure how to get my song removed from this playlist!!
This SAME exact thing happened to me Shohini. I reported my incident to Spotify and here is their contact page.
Usually they seem to change songs out every 1-3 days but I understand your frustration with this group. Another one that did the same to many of us on here is Artister. I hope this helps.
Hi, we are currently dealing with the same problem. This "artister.io" is placing our song in their playlist which has no relation to the genre, and it's giving us botted plays, without any saves. We did not ask them to place us, nor did we pay. I hate how it reflects on our stats as it damages our chances with the algorithm. We have just been picked up by Love Island for a sync opportunity, and so the song is going to get serious traction. We don't want to risk our place on Spotify's platform because a spam curator decided to add us to the playlists. The issue is they add your song, bot your stats, then remove it to leave no trace.
It's this same 'House Music' playlist.
Thanks so much for your reply! Did you have any luck with the Spotify support team?
I got an email response from them asking me to review my promotional and marketing efforts but no mention of the suspicious playlist. I reported the issue under "Stats are missing or don't look right" as I couldn't find any other suitable options from their help drop downs. Which one did you use to report wavr.ai?
I've also contacted wavr.ai via Instagram and email but no response. Not sure how quickly they respond as it's just been a few hours.
Thanks again for sharing your own experience!
Do you have been attending DistroKid's Wheel of Playlist or are you subscribed to any other DistroKid public playlists? If you have, don't do it again as it's there from WAVR.AI is picking the songs.
I have the same issue right now. I contacted Spotify but honestly im scared… I don’t want my music to get taken down having done nothing wrong
Ugh. Same issue with one of my songs. It got added to the WAVR.AI playlist and picked up 70+ streams yesterday from Helsinki, Finland.
Spotify - Are you doing anything about this?!?! I hope you're not penalizing the artists for this. Can't you simply ban the WAVR.AI account(s)?
Still haven’t gotten a response back from Spotify. I’m legit scared about a possible music takedown. I didn’t do anything wrong! The fact I’m getting blown off scares me, like the decision has already been made
